The photograph
A stock photograph of a derelict corridor sets the scene. The crop makes room for the title, tagline and pen name; small dark patches soften distracting marks on the walls.

Built in layers
Follow What the Walls Remember, a ghost story from the catalogue, through five stages. The title, tagline and pen name stay in place as two stock photographs become a scene with a haunting presence.

A stock photograph of a derelict corridor sets the scene. The crop makes room for the title, tagline and pen name; small dark patches soften distracting marks on the walls.
02
A darker, desaturated colour grade gives the corridor cold green-grey shadows and pale highlights. The familiar space begins to feel uneasy.
03
A woman seen from behind in a second stock photograph becomes the apparition. A pale glow, soft rim of light and fading feet make her a semi-transparent presence at the far door.
04
Low fog rolls along the floor. A soft glow blooms around the light sources and the figure, bringing the apparition and corridor into the same atmosphere.
05
A vignette draws the eye into the corridor. Darkened top and bottom edges give the type room to stand out, while film grain brings the layers together.
